Nick talks Hecatomb with director Ed Andrews

Recently, I caught up with British director Edward Andrews to chat about the pre-production phase of his new, Mexico-based sci-fi action flick, Hecatomb, in order to shed some light on what it takes to shoot an independent proof-of-concept overseas.

Check out the full interview in Love Amen Magazine, here, and stay tuned to ILT for future updates!

Preview: Hecatomb

Recently, I reviewed British director Edward Andrews’ award-winning short, Red Handed.

For his next project, Hecatomb – a dystopian action flick set in the desolate Mexican wastelands of the new world – Ed travelled south of the border to Monterrey. Armed with no budget, no electricity, no toilets, and a wholly unfamiliar cast & crew, it was certainly a shoot to remember…

Check out the film’s facebook page for Ed’s fascinating proof-of-concept production diary, How We Made a Sci-Fi Film in the Mexican Desertand stay tuned to ILT for future updates!
